I'm Jessica. I'm a junior in college with a passion for language and life. I'm studying Creative Writing, Publishing and Spanish at a small university in Central Pennsylvania.

And from September to December of 2015 I lived and attended school in Seville, Spain.

Take a girl born and raised in a quaint, rural town. Put her in a foreign city. What do you get?

Many laughs, quite a few tears, and a whole lot of learning.

I've recorded my experiences here to share. Whether you're a student looking to get a feel for what it's like to study abroad in Spain, or a friend or family member of mine curious about what my semester abroad was like, I'm glad that you're here, reading my blog.

In Seville, I attended Universidad Pablo de Olavide where I took four classes through the International Center, all of which helped me complete requirements for graduation (Woohoo!!) Three classes were taught in English and one in Spanish, though I wish I had challenged myself more with practicing the language.

I lived with a host mom, which was a challenge at times, but a learning experience nonetheless. I was constantly seeing new things and meeting new people, and I think that this experience is something I'll still be processing for a while.
